Topic: Green Insecticides: An alternate approach towards better health and a safer environment?
She has superannuated as Principal, Govt. College, Lunkaransar, affiliated to MGS University, Bikaner, Rajasthan, India.
She has put in over 38 years of post-graduate teaching and
research in the field of Zoology, especially Entomology, besides sheep and camel. Her research
related to eco-friendly botanical/green insecticides has gained wide recognition. She has served in the
Department of Zoology, Govt. Dungar College, Bikaner for over 32 years and has been Head of the
Department for over 10 years. She had been Convener - Board of Studies in Zoology, and Member -
Academic Council, MGS University, Bikaner and presently is External Member- BOS in Zoology, MGS
University, Bikaner, Member AC – IASE University, Sardarshahar, Member AC -Tantia University,
Sriganganagar, Member AC-RNB University, Bikaner, In the Panel of Examiners at several
Universities and VC nominee in the Selection Committee of different Colleges.
24 scholars have been awarded M.Phil. and 20 Ph.D. degrees under her supervision. Has contributed
to over 115 research publications published in journals of national and international repute and
approximately the same number in Conference proceedings. Has represented more than 100
Conferences and has visited Thailand, Dubai, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Mauritius, Nepal, Las Vegas,
Bali, Indonesia, Paris, Rome, and Vietnam to deliver invited talks, Chair/ Co-Chair Technical
sessions, and acted as Jury. She has also been an online keynote speaker at the International
Conferences organized at China and Bangladesh. She has shouldered the responsibility of being
Joint Organizing Secretary, International Conference on Advances in Ecological Research, Co-
Chairperson of the International Conference on Emerging Frontiers and Challenges in Radiation Biology,
Co-convener, 4th International Science Congress. In January 2023, she was invited to deliver a talk at
the 108th Indian Science Congress, one of the most prestigious conferences inaugurated by our
Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi ji. She is a Fellow of 4, a Life Member of 6 different
Academic Bodies and is a member of the Editorial Board of 22 different National and International
Journals. Besides, she has been a recipient of over 29 distinguished Awards & Honours.
